EXPERT WITNESS

Some tasks undertaken as Expert Witnesses on Engineering and IT matters:

• Investigation and report into real time data logging errors on telephone alarm system for the elderly.

• Investigation of data held on computer systems with regard to establishing if any of the data was stolen.

• Inspection of mobile telephone and Expert Witness report detailing incoming & outgoing messages, stored telephone numbers and any other data.

• Inspection of Air Conditioning Unit relating to the temperature of a computer room.

• Expert Witness Report regarding the correlation between multiple mobile telephone handsets and SIM cards based on the telephone company records.

• Faulty Tracking System

• Analysis of office telephone installation and report on condition and fitness for purpose.

• Expert Witness Report looking at the accuracy of positioning of a mobile phone based on the telephone company records.

• Inspection and report on condition and performance of a domestic boiler system.

• To investigate and Expert Witness report on the central heating and water services installation and to comment on their conformity to specification.

• Inspection of defective wiring works

• Advise on technical aspects of lighting grid

• Investigation into complaints of low water pressure at a commercial premesis and recommendations for remedial action to resolve the problem.

• Fire in air conditioning units - Investigation into electrical installation of a commercial premesis and report on the possible causes of a localised fire.

• Inspection of two electricity meters and assessment of alledged tampering and electricity abstraction.

• Inspection of lift in a residential block of flats. Report into routine inspection, maintenance and contributary factors involved in an accident that occurred when the doors closed unexpectedly.

• Assessment of electricity usage regarding external floodlighting and water heater.

• Inspection of domestic gas and electricity installation. Report specifying defects and necessary remedial action.

• Analysis of records regarding the electrical rewiring of a bulk cable laying ship.

• Investigation into the likely causes of the lifts defects, condition assessment and Expert Witness report on the inspection, maintenance and repair processes in use.

• Electrical inspection of domestic wiring installation and preparation of an Expert Witness Report regarding it's condition.

• Analysis of the design of raised access floors and plenum baffles for space heating/air conditioning systems in an office environment

• To report on the provision of electrical supplies for 8.5kW instant shower units and to form a view as to whether the installations are safe, satisfactory and in accordance with BS7671 (Formerly the IEE Regulations for wiring in buildings)

• Report on condition of isolating switch and commentary on surge protection and uninterruptable power supplies.

• Inspection and report on the hot water installation of a domestic residence.

• Investigation into performance, installation and maintenance of a gas fired domestic boiler and form a view as to the likely cause of carbon monoxide poisoning.
